Different Ways to Secure Your Business Assets Tips to Avoid Water Damage at Home

Any physical activity is of great importance, especially swimming, improves health, and thus prolongs human life. Swimming is a basic sport that every person should practice. It is especially important to apply it to children aged 5 to 15 years. It has been scientifically proven that swimming is the first sport that children should meet at the age of 5 and up. This sport is performed in water, an environment that is already familiar to the child from the mother’s womb. There are several crucial reasons why every child should learn to swim with lifeguard course.

Swimming as a physical activity:

  1. Positively affects the cardiovascular system.
  2. Improves the work of the locomotor apparatus.
  3. Improves motor skills of movements.
  4. Activates all the muscles of the human body at the same time.
  5. Enables socialization of children.
  6. Makes children feel safe in the water.
  7. Once they have mastered swimming techniques, children are able to take care of themselves in the water.
  8. It frees the parents from the fear that something unpleasant will happen to the naughty child in the water.
  9. Relaxes and relieves children of any stress.
  10. There is no water injury factor.
  11. A child who knows how to swim can save another child who drowns and does not know how to swim.
  12. Water makes children happy and arouses cheerful emotions.

The benefits of swimming are many, but there are also a few things that parents should not do for their children in the water:

Do not take on the role of coaches and do not force children to swim.

  1. Do not force children into water.
  2. Do not immerse the child’s head in water if the child does not want to.
  3. Do not traumatize the child by making comparisons with other children who already know how to swim

Opposite to this:

  1. Enroll your child in the nearest swimming school where he / she will improve and learn swimming techniques.
  2. Allow the child to touch the water first, adjust to the temperature, and then enter with the whole body.
  3. Be patient if the child refuses to enter the water.
  4. Be patient if the child is afraid and has no desire to be in the water.
  5. Find a suitable way to entice the child to love water, which means through play, with a ball, with a float, with muscles, with various plastic and rubber toys for water. The pedagogical approach of adults is very important in these moments, because otherwise a side effect can be achieved, and that is for the child to experience trauma, to swallow water and so on. and never again get the urge to swim.

Therefore, it is recommended to refer the children to a professional, professor or swimming coach, who has experience in working with children in the pool and who has the knowledge to implement a methodology for training swimming techniques. This process of perfecting new habits in water can take several months. It is different for each child, because it is an extremely individual procedure. Some children learn faster, others learn more slowly.

But this does not mean that the child will not learn to swim, on the contrary, children master swimming techniques relatively quickly, compared to adults. It is much easier to teach a child to swim than an adult. Once a child has mastered swimming techniques, they remain entrenched in the central nervous system and are already automated movements. Therefore, we can apply swimming for life as an integral part of our daily lives.
